Gabrielino Trail Western Trailhead begins at Windsor Avenue in Altadena, California, and runs through the Angeles National Forest where you will connect to many different trails. The main path starts with almost no shade and a view of Hahamongna Watershed Park.
It isn’t immediately obvious, but there are small trails that lead to a creek with lots of trees for shade to help cool down your pups during the warm months. You will also find a few bridges and waterfalls along the way.

Things to Know
- There are a few parking spots located at N Windsor Ave.
- Watch out for bikes and horses that share the trails.
- The water station at the parking area isn’t always reliable. Bring your own drinking water.

NopeMy dog enjoyed playing on the creek even though it was a little dry. The creek is somewhat hidden if you just follow the main fire road. There is a small trail that leads to it so keep your eyes open.
