The Owl Trail is a popular hiking trail located in Cherry Canyon Park in La Cañada Flintridge, California. The trail is named after the many species of owls that can be found in the park, including the Western Screech Owl, the Great Horned Owl, and the Barn Owl.
The Owl Trail is a moderate hike that is approximately 1.7 miles long. It starts at the Cherry Canyon Trailhead and winds through, offering views of the surrounding hills and canyons. The trail is well-maintained and relatively easy to navigate, with some sections that are steeper and more challenging than others.
One of the highlights of the trail is The Owl Box, a specially constructed nesting box that is designed to attract owls. The box is a popular spot for bird watchers to observe the owls in their natural habitat. The park’s staff monitors the box regularly to ensure the safety of the owls and their young.
