Venice Canals is a man-made canal located a block away from Venice Beach. The canals are connected by bridges and have narrow sidewalks that are accessible for a leisurely walk with your dog.

Here you will find well-designed homes and rows of boats lining the canal. You may also find ducks floating without a care in the world.

Things to Know

  • The paths are very narrow so if your dog is not comfortable with encountering other people and dogs, this may not be the best place for them.
  • There aren’t many spots where your dog can potty as there isn’t any grass on the pathways. There are some patches of grass close to Linnie Canal Park, a small playground within the canals.
  • If you want to check out the beach, there is a small pathway at 25th Street or Howland Canal Street situated in the middle of the location.
