Sequoia National Park is located in the southern Sierra Nevada mountain range in California, United States. The park spans over 400,000 acres of pristine wilderness, including the largest trees on Earth – the giant sequoias.

Pets are allowed in the park but must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. They are not allowed on any trails or in wilderness areas, but they are allowed in developed areas such as campgrounds, picnic areas, and parking lots. Pets are also not allowed inside any park buildings, including visitor centers and museums.

Things to Know

If you want to see the giant sequoia trees with your dog, consider visiting the Sequoia National Forest instead as they have many trails that allow dogs. Check out the Trail of 100 Giants.
