Get Boards is a kayak and stand-up paddleboard rental shop near Boulder Bay Park in Big Bear Lake, California. The shop has two locations with one being close to Veterans Park by the Village. Get Boards to allow dogs to be in the kayaks and SUPs with their human companions without additional fees. And the best part is that they provide dog life jacket rentals for a reasonable price.
There are a few parking spots in front of the shop but these quickly fill up so make sure to come early. In addition, parking spots can be found at Boulder Bay Park which is right next to Get Boards, however, the spots are limited.
The shop offers other items for sale including clothes, footwear, hats, and even dry plastic containers for your phones. Upon rental, a staff member will provide you with helpful information about how to safely explore the lake and other tips to make your trip enjoyable.
One thing to note though is that you will need to tow your kayak/paddleboard a few meters through a narrow sidewalk in order to get to the water.
